Preview builds connect to https://staging.simforge.ai, not production, and there is no automatic update: when a newer build is published, this page lists it and the app can tell you on request. Interactive qualification so far covers macOS (Apple silicon); the other files are packaged and checksum-verified only.

Each archive is the corresponding source for one platform's binaries; take the one matching the installer you downloaded.

These builds are not code-signed yet. Here is what your system will say.
Verify the SHA-256 shown next to each file against the published checksums, then allow the app once. Nothing installs or updates itself: the app reads this page's release list only when you choose Check for Updates, and it never downloads a build for you.
- Windows
- SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer is a standard per-user NSIS setup.
- macOS
- Gatekeeper refuses the ad-hoc signature on first launch. Right-click the app and choose Open, or allow it under System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway.
- Linux
- AppImage:
chmod +xthe file and run it. Debian/Ubuntu:sudo apt install ./SimForge-Studio-*.deb. No repository or key is configured.

- Richmond Field Station needs no account. Private maps and workspace storage need a SimCloud sign-in, which happens in your browser, never inside the app.
